I've done a few guerrilla grows in the past but I am now thinking about trying an indoor grow.  Would this light be okay for a small closet(3' x 3 1/2') and one or two plants? http://urban-horticulture-supply.shoplightspeed.com/hlg-100-w-3000k.html .  Would that type of led light get me through veg and flower?

The biggest thing with Gardening Indoors is matching a light with the size space you have. Your 3x3.5 Closest has a Sq foot of 10.5. Once you have your Sq Footage you can use that to size your light. The Recommended Wattage / Sq Foot you'd want is 30-50.. So 10.5 x 30 = 315 Actual Wattage. You mentioned 1 or 2 plants so you can get away with lower (Since you aren't filling the full space).

The HLG 100w (3000k) is the right Spectrum at 3000k! Just not enough power to fulfill your grow.

I would suggest getting a Samsung 240h (260 Watts). Lots of different brands / models available, here is a good First edition (LM561c Samsung Top bin Diodes)

It is very important to understand Light Specs, Check out some of these topics :

?

Wanted to add one thing! The HLG lights are the same as the off branded lights from Alibaba.

Thanks man.  I have another stupid question.  On the light that you recommended, it says "Input Voltage(V): AC100-240v."  I'm completely electricity illiterate.  Would that mean that I would need to plug it into one of those 240 volt receptacles like what a clothes dryer plugs into, or could I just plug it into a normal receptacle?  Thanks!

That just means it can run on 100-240 volts. 🙂 I have the exact same light plugged into 120
