As I was was wondering what to post, this happened to play on the radio and trawling YT I happened upon this version which I'd not heard/seen before.
Although true to the electro-roots of the OG version it's somewhat pared-down, which is fine by me; but the main reason I chose it is because of the video: I love not only the rather naive style of animation, but the storyboard absolutely captures how this makes me feel...

Of course you can't refer to animation in music vids without thinking of Gorillaz, an entirely animated band (if you buy into the schtick), and you might as well stick a pin in their discog. as to try and choose a favourite.

Surprisingly enough for an old stoner, I have nothing but love for tunes from The Sunny Isle, but it's the early earlier stuff that really squeezes my grapes...

Now I've introduced the OG Upsetter into the equation, this is likely to go off on a tangent, so prolific and influential was the man.
But I know that having whet your appetites with a little dash of Jamaica tunes, you're hot for something from the "golden age".
If you haven't blazed a fat one to something off this album (produced by Perry in his Black Ark studio), bruh you haven't really blazed...

Heart of the Congos was recorded in '76/'77, which, if you ask most people, is all about disco.
And as much as I'd like to cleverly link the two, I have to admit that I'd be reaching somewhat [shrug].
So here's a stone-cold, class A, guaranteed floor-filler: if this doesn't have you up on your feet, don't bother calling an ambulance; it's a hearse you need!
